The new Peepeekisis Cree Nation Community Hub will serve the Peepeekisis Cree Nation, located in Treaty Four Territory, and belonging to the File Hills First Nations.

Following a series of collaborative workshops, the community's needs informed the new Community Hub. It will serve a broad range of purposes, and offer a broad range of services, including a gathering place for events, meetings and funerals, a commercial kitchen to prepare food for community events, a retail outlet with a gas bar, administrative offices for the Nation, and a daycare.

The design for the Community Hub is based upon the circle, inspired by the large circle of adjacent Pow-wow grounds next door to the site, and the Hub will be linked to the Pow-wow grounds via a ley line, or an alignment drawn between important landmarks.

The circle also references the Medicine Wheel, an important symbol that represents the circle of life that individuals and the community are a part of. Celebrating the culture and the history of Peepeekisis, the Community Hub seeks to offer indoor and outdoor spaces for all community members, to enrich the lives of all the users who experience it.
