Northern Lakes College is deeply rooted in north-central Albertan history and its communities. Their new High Prairie Campus building expands on the brand identity of the College, as a value-add option that meets contemporary needs and expectations.
The High Prairie Campus HUB's design, landscape and architectural components support and demonstrate the College’s vision, mission, design principles and sustainability plan. The project is designed using BIM, and is designed to LEED Silver standards.
Designed to be a sustainable and accessible learning environment that serves the wider community, the High Prairie Campus Hub will offer options for post-secondary students studying at smaller campuses throughout the region, by providing easier access to trades and health sciences laboratories. In addition, this facility is designed to be a living, learning laboratory and all mechanical, plumbing and electrical design, as well as HVAC systems, are designed as demonstration spaces for students.
