ABSA, the Pressure Equipment Safety Authority has a long history in Alberta. When their sustained growth demanded a new facility, Manasc Isaac was happy to conceptualize a corporate home for the organization.
Located in the Edmonton Research Park, the building embodies the values of its occupants and deftly balances functionality with unique aesthetics. The facility reinforces ABSA’s progressive attitude and environmental consciousness, making it a perfect home for the organization’s administration and inspectors.
The building’s sustainable features begin with its actual walls. A high-performance envelope wraps around the structure, while inside, underground parking, generous natural light, underfloor air distribution and operable windows create attractive, healthy and sustainable workspaces for occupants.
To accommodate ABSA’s continued growth, an expansion of the facility was completed in 2015.

The integrated design process worked well. We did a good job of communicating our needs clearly and [Manasc Isaac] did a good job of keeping us in the loop. We have no hesitation in recommending Manasc Isaac as an architectural firm that is professional, competent, attentive and leading edge in sustainable design. — Gordon Campbell, CEO, ABSA
